ST. LOUIS, March 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — AT&T* has invested more than $1.8 billion in its best-in-class wireless and wired networks in Missouri between 2012 through 2014, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
As part of its Project Velocity IP (VIP), an investment plan focused on network enhancement and expansion, AT&T in 2014 made 367 wireless network upgrades in Missouri, including new cell sites, addition of network capacity, and new wireless high-speed Internet connections.

Notable Missouri network enhancements in 2014 included:
- Building more than 60 new cell sites in Missouri.
- Upgrading more than 240 network connections.
- Expanding capacity to carry traffic at 60 sites in the state.
- Enhancing the Distributed Antenna Systems available at the University of Missouri’s Faurot Field, Mizzou Arena and at Busch Stadium.
- Launching AT&T Business Fiber service in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
